Fleur de Lys
Bridge St, Bampton, Oxfordshire. OX18 2HA.
Fleur de Lys is a beautifully relaxed French bistro with bedrooms, nestled in the market town of Bampton and surrounded by charming Oxfordshire countryside.
Born in France, Olivier Bonte wanted to bring some French flair to the Cotswolds which he has achieved this in spades, creating a haven for those who love the rural, relaxed way of living.
The menus constantly change and evolve based on the seasons and are littered with many classic dishes, including Escargots in garlic butter, Beef Bourguignon, Cordon Bleu, Bouillabaisse and Moules Frites.
There is a breakfast menu which offers waffles, muffins, French and English plates and a Menu Du Jour that is available at lunchtime and dinner throughout the week. This can all be enjoyed with some delicious French wine an ice cold pint, before heading out to the garden for a game of pétanque.
