A real hidden gem, this beautiful, old Cotswold stone pub tucked away in a quiet corner of this picture-perfect village, was recently taken over by experienced hospitality operators, Matt and Katie Beamish, who also run acclaimed dining pub with rooms, The Kingham Plough and village dining hub, The Hare at Milton. Head chef, Jason Christie, delivers stunning seasonal, modern British dishes, whilst championing the very best fresh, local produce available. Expect innovative twists, re-imagined pub classics and daily changing specials, alongside an all-day Bar Snacks and Sunday Roast menus.
Behind the bar with working inglenook fireplace, oak beams and flagstone floors, a well-curated wine list, weekly changing local and guest ales and artisanal soft drinks, and outside, a beautiful, walled cottage garden. Upstairs, five bedrooms finished in simple, luxurious style with top notch en-suite bathrooms, and next door to the pub, a two-bed cottage which sleeps four and is also available on a B&B basis.
